"Metabolite Profiling Applications of Mass Spectrometry at the Lead Optimization Stage"

Hesham Ghobarah,
Senior Applications Scientist
Life Technologies

Abstract: This session will provide an overview of how the AB SCIEX QTRAP® 5500 hybrid triple quadrupole – linear ion trap system can be used to perform metabolite profiling studies in a highly innovative and productive manner. Two application areas of direct relevance to lead optimization will be discussed: Metabolic “soft spot” analysis for improving ADME properties, and in vitro screening for reactive metabolites.
